Contact us so we can help you as soon as possible. If a porcelain veneer falls off, you may be worried about your exposed tooth, but it will likely be fine. You will just need to be a bit more careful with it until our dentist can see you.
Can You Treat Just One Tooth With a Veneer?
Yes, we can. A porcelain veneer can refine just one tooth, or several, depending on your needs. If you notice a flaw in a single tooth, you do not need to commit to any cosmetic treatment beyond that area. Our dentist can determine your treatment options during a consultation. A veneer may be the best solution, but you may also benefit from a dental crown or dental bonding.
Can a Tooth With a Veneer Get a Cavity?
While a porcelain veneer cannot get a cavity, the underlying tooth can. That is why it is so important to maintain proper oral hygiene while wearing your restorations.
Can I Drink Coffee and Wine With Veneers?
Yes, but use caution—the porcelain used to make your dental veneers is stain-resistant, but your surrounding teeth are not. Stains on surrounding teeth can make the color of your smile look very uneven, since the veneers will retain their color. When it comes to enjoying foods and drinks that can stain teeth, enjoy them in moderation, use a straw when possible, and brush as soon as you can afterward. Periodic whitening can also help keep the shade of your smile uniform.
